The yoga mat can be used in many useful ways, including as a dish-drying mat, impromptu sled or indoor baseball bat. What many don’t realize is that it’s also a very handy tool for performing yoga workouts, especially when a New Year’s resolution has been made to start a workout routine.
To get started, check out Yoga Tailor, an online service that creates custom yoga videos based on your skill level and how much time you have.
Just sign up for a free account or login with Facebook to get started and fill in a few essential workout details – how much time you have, what your skills level is, etc.
From there Yoga Tailor will offer a custom video, featuring real yoga professionals. You just follow along, doing the workout at home or wherever you are (within reason – we trust you to use your judgment here).
The site changes up the video each time you log in to keep your workouts varied and to help you beat exercise boredom.
You can try it out for free for two weeks. After that, monthly ($7.99), yearly ($59.99), and lifetime ($199.99) memberships are available.
It’s kind of a bummer that now our new Jazzercise outfits are a wasted purchase, but it’s probably for the best.
