Transform smartphone pictures with Pixlr Express
Normally we don’t cover the same company twice, but when a product is this good rules are made to be broken.
Pixlr-o-matic is our long-time favorite for desktop photo editing, but the brand-new Pixlr Express for Android and iPhone takes mobile editing to new heights.
How high? Well, there are over 600 effects, including an amazing array of filters and artistic overlays (our favorite is Retro Poster), each with complete intensity control. The basics are all there – crop, auto-fix, brighten, red-eye removal – but so are Photoshop-quality tools like sharpen, denoise, and focal blur.
Removing or adjusting changes is as easy as adding them, and photos can be saved in small, medium, or large sizes – perfect for texting or emailing lightweight snapshots while uploading full resolution copies to Flickr.
