Chances are if you’re in the same place at the same time, you have something in common with the people around you.
A new way to find that out is Popcorn, a free (and wildly innovative) community building iPhone app.
Popcorn is simple but fun: It establishes an exclusive chat for users within a specific 1-mile radius. Share messages and images,and see what’s good in your hood. It’s growing fast, especially, as its activity map shows, in the Netherlands.
You may be wondering, “Why would I want a bunch of strangers knowing I exist?” No need to fret. Usernames keep identities private, and your exact location is never revealed.
So if you’re at a concert, lounging in the park, or just bored at work, you can chat with people doing the exact same thing. Maybe even meet a new friend.
