Read One Great Story a Day

Narratively is a slow storytelling website

“There are 8 million stories in the Naked City. This has been one of them,” the famous quote goes.

That could easily be the tagline for Narratively, a beautiful, multimedia platform for untold human-interest stories. Narratively prides itself on “slow storytelling,” or on publishing one piece per day, to give each tale enough airtime.

Kicking off on Kickstarter in 2012, Narratively’s initial focus was on telling unknown stories from New York City’s neighborhoods and eccentrics. It soon expanded to cover more places and topics, like a Spanish dictator’s reign of terror, or a hundred-year-old murder in New Orleans. They’ve adopted overarching themes too, by devoting whole weeks to topics like hip-hop and “art in strange places.”

All these tales are grippingly told on Narratively’s picture-intensive, easy-on-the-eyes reading platform, by a creative staff hailing from places like The New York Times and The New Yorker.

Gather ’round, kids – Narratively has a story to tell.
