At least Roomi makes finding a new place less awful: It’s an app and site that shows you available rooms to rent in cities across the US.
Sign up with Facebook or email to browse listings, save favorites, and chat with potential roommates without revealing your contact information. User profiles also make it easier to avoid scams.
Listing a room is a snap: Create a post by describing your ideal roommate, giving info on your place, and adding some photos.
That’s a nice move.
